Then I put the hive on top of one end of the 4x4's. I scooted them every evening after dark a couple of feet. This required about a month to get them where I wanted them to go. It worked! I didn't have a two mile area to move them to. I understand totally about the weather. I live in Indiana. Last year it warmed up nicely for quite some time, then we had two snow/ice storms two weekends in a row. I lost four out of five hives. This year, so far so good EXCEPT I hear we are expecting 3-5 inches of snow tomorrow. I'm praying they make it.
